Canadian Blues
16-sec time exposure early morning, probably 25 minutes before the sun broke the horizon. Photographed in Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. The Quetico is a canoe-in only park north of the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, though about 3x more expansive than the Boundary Waters. With oh so few people - awesome! Stillness, calm, pure undisturbed beauty and peace to start the day. The Northern Lights and loons calling to bless the night! Doesn't get any better. As all my images, this comes in a variety of presentations: print only, notecard, matted, gallery-wrap canvas and framed...

Shepherdess
A portion of the graveyards around Sweetheart Abbey in Galloway Scotland (see image "Loving Arches"). I call this female statuary "Shepherdess" as I feel her role there was to oversee the flock of souls buried in the graveyard, graves that went back 450 years. All religions were buried here - as they should be. This is morning light in early spring. As all my images, this comes in a variety of presentations: print only, notecard, matted, gallery-wrap canvas and framed. They come in many sizes and can be custom-sized (virtual fitting) to your wall space. Contact me and I will guide y...
Loch Dunvegan Sunset
Evening sunset in spring over Loch Dunvegan on the northernmost part of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Was a break between two massive spring storms, one in the North Atlantic and one coming up the coast of the United States through Ireland into Scotland. No guarantee this break was going to happen. I was hopeful - and it worked perfectly! Beautiful sky colors and clouds. All perfect. The colors are natural too, no Photoshop'ing. That is largely due to this part of Scotland being at the same latitude as Hudson Bay in Canada here in North America. Pretty far north. As all my images, t...
Sheltering Arms
Four years in the making, this beautiful sugar maple (Acer sccharum) tree in full autumn color in the northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan, south of the Mackinaw Bridge. It took four years to get the depth of the autumn colors on this - guessing here - about 120-130 year-old sugar maple trees. I title it "Sheltering Arms" as it is like a friend I can go sit under (and did!) that would protect me from all that came to pass. As all my images, this comes in a variety of presentations: print only, notecard, matted, gallery-wrap canvas and framed. They come in many sizes and can ...
Valley Fog
Morning fog arising from Stevens Canyon on the southeast side of Mount Rainier. Photographed early summer. Took 3 years to capture the image as all the times fog was predicted in only happened the one time in those 3 years. Fog is magical. It takes us inwardly on journeys to places and emotions we often cannot explain or describe, but they are good places as we feel peace and relaxation mixed with wonder in going there. As all my images, this comes in a variety of presentations: print only, notecard, matted, gallery-wrap canvas and framed. I print and prepare this image in many sizes ...
Enchanted Valley
Time exposure of Lower Proxy Falls waterfall in the Oregon Cascades. The waterfall is on the west side (oldgrowth forest side) at the base of a mountain called the Three Sisters. The water coming down the falls is the start of the White River that feeds into the Willamette River then the Columbia River. The blue coloration comes from the clear sky and blue in shadows on a clear day - it is nothing added. As all my images, this comes in a variety of presentations: print only, notecard, matted, gallery-wrap canvas and framed. They come in many sizes and can be custom-sized (virtual fitti...

Spiderweb Jewels
Dewdrops condensed on a spiderweb on a cool morning, presunrise to there was not the slightest hint of air movement to shake the spiderweb. The silhouette of the pickup truck I was driving at the time is visible on the left side of where the sky meets the road - that blackish speck! Those tiny waterdroplets on that small spiderweb had that much power to bring in detail from a distance. Amazing! As all my images, this comes in a variety of presentations: matted, gallery-wrap canvas and framed. They come in many sizes and can be custom-sized (virtual fitting) to your wall space. Contac...
Blue Moon
11 years in the making. I carried a blue filter for 11 years to try and find the right combination of trees, then fog to produce a foggy-night appearance to create this type of "blue moon" image. Mimicing what it is like to go walking at night in a fog with a full moon. One of the most quiet, beautiful and personal places we can be in live. Found good settings of trees but the fog .... oh the fog .... so rare and so rare around the tree! Finally though - got it! As all my images, this comes in a variety of presentations: print only, notecard, matted, gallery-wrap canvas and framed. T...

Ramen Blue
Color-altered image of condensation on a clear glass lid while cooking ramen on my studio burner in winter. Thickest condensation I have ever seen. Original colors were amber-gold-brown, but was unsure how people would respond to brownish water as there are no good scenarios for brownish water! Blue however ..... ! Young children have given it the best name - that if I had heard it before I first sold it, the image would be called: "Mermaid Scales". Drats! Philosota Mushrooms
Mushrooms of the genus Pholiota growing in a burned-out tree cavity (tree had fallen) in the Painted Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Amazing mushrooms, having all those little 'scales' looking as if they are peeling off the surfrace. The mushrooms about 1.5-2" in diameter. I had never seen these types of mushrooms before or since, nor has anyone I know, especially those who collect mushrooms regularly. Even the Michigan DNR staff I sent the image to for help identifying. They had to forward it to a mycologist (fungus/mushroom specialist) for identification. ...

This exquisite scene evolved after 4 days of powerful storms blowing across Lake Superior, complete with strong winds and pouring rains.
